Privacy Policy

High Tech Repair ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains, plainly, what we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us to delete it.

What you give us

When you request a repair, sell a device, order a carrier unlock, buy an IMEI check or contact us, we collect your name, phone, email, device details (including the IMEI) and service notes. For unlock orders we also record the date and IP address of your acceptance of the terms, as the record of that acceptance. We use all of it to provide and follow up on our services.

What the website collects on its own

To know how many people visit and what actually helps them, we measure visits to our public pages. We store: the page you viewed, where you came from, whether you were on a phone or a computer, your language, how long you stayed, and whether you tapped the WhatsApp, phone or email button.

For that we use our own cookie (ypic_v) holding a random number that lasts one year. That number does not say who you are: it only lets us tell that two visits came from the same person, so we can see which ad brought you.

Your IP address is never stored as-is. It is turned into an irreversible code (SHA-256) and the original is discarded immediately.

Third-party tools

This site uses Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) and the Meta/Facebook pixel, including its server-side version (Conversions API), which tells Meta when someone submits a request from an ad. These tools set their own cookies and receive data about your visit under their own policies: Google and Meta.

Payments are processed by Stripe: full card details never touch our servers and we never store them.

To run an unlock or an IMEI check we send only the IMEI to the corresponding official provider. We do not give them your name, phone or email.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not store raw IP addresses. We do not store card data. We do not access personal data on your device beyond what the repair requires — and we always recommend backing up and removing your passcode first.

How long we keep it

Website measurement data is deleted automatically after 14 months. Service, sale and unlock records are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and as long as accounting rules require.

Your choices

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal (Firefox, Brave and DuckDuckGo include it; Chrome supports it via extension), we do not set the cookie and your visit is counted anonymously. You do not have to ask: it is honored automatically.

You can also clear cookies in your browser at any time, or ask us to delete what we hold about you. Message us and we will.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this changes, we update the date above. Material changes are announced on the home page.
